I shot this video in June4th candlelight vigil in 2013. Hong Kong is the only place in China that can demonstrate people’s discontent towards the Chinese Government. Every year tens of thousands of people gather in the Victoria Park to mourn for the dead in Tiananmen incident in 1989 and to call for justice for the victims to the Communist Party. In 2013, the heavy rain halted the vigil dramatically. Demonstrators still congregated in the park for long time and chanted their slogans. Stroke by this touching moment, I made a record of people’s resolution in the hope of asking more people to take on the street on July1, demonstrating their discontent to Hong Kong Government and Chinese Government.
